Vanessa is an Associate with The Fair Justice Initiative and she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English and Linguistics and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Ghana Legon. Vanessa also obtained her GDL and LLM(LPC) from BPP University Manchester.

She has a Qualifying Certificate in Law from the Ghana School of Law and has been admitted to practice Law in Ghana. As a key member of the Legal Team, Vanessa focuses on combating discrimination and stigmatization against current and former inmates of prisons across Ghana, whilst ensuring equal access to effective legal representation, advocating for the improvement of the conditions of confinement in Ghana.
